Week 1: media autobiography

Books, newspapers, magazines, movies, recordings, radio, television, and internet, these 8 types of media are always related to our daily life. Media brings us entertainment, knowledge, information, etc. I’m using internet every day to see the latest weather information and news, and update my blog, also, to check e-mail. It is convenient to communicate with people through e-mail, or MSN which is an instant messaging service.

As I started off to college, internet becomes even more important to me. The web search engines, such as Google, can search for information on a world wild web in just a few seconds. And there is always updated information from internet. It helps me a lot on my study, especially when I need researching for my assignment paper. I don’t like reading but I would still use the textbooks, which including useful knowledge and specific details related to my study. Books are also good resources when I couldn’t access to internet. Besides internet and books, I watch movies and television drama from Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. My laptop’s playing music at most of the time when it’s on, I like listen to music, and they are mainly Japanese and Mandarin. Sometimes I buy CDs for supporting the singers that I like.

I think television and magazines are very good ways for product advertisement. Moving or color pictures are eye-catching to get consumer’s attention. I’d like to work in advertising industry in my future career.
